I always like to know more about the characters I read, so here is a little description of each one. These aren't all of the characters, just the main ones because some of the later characters are plot twists in the story! :)
Blake Wickham
27 years old at the start of the novel. Dark brown hair and brown eyes. He works at Donovan Headquarters, the industrial engineering company, under his boss Mr. Donovan. He's 6ft tall and has one brother Derek who is five years older than him. Blake meets Jessica when she becomes a receptionist at Donovan Headquarters.
Jessica Farrell
20 years old at the start of the novel is Venezuelan descent. She's a Junior at UCLA and her major is publishing. She works as a receptionist at Donovan Headquarters, a job she got from her father, who is well known in the business world. Her mother is from Venezuela and married an American man. She is 5' 4", an only child and her parents are very hard on her, especially her mother after Jessica's father passes away.
Zachary Smitt
Early 60s at the start of the novel. Grey/blonde hair and blue eyes. Zachary might not be mentioned as much in the novel as other characters, but plays a big role in Blake's life as a father figure. Why Blake's real father isn't a good man? Gotta read the story to find out :)
Gracie Davis
21 years old at start of the novel and African American descent. She is Jessica's roommate and best friend in the novel. She is a biochemical engineer and her and Jessica have been roommates at UCLA since Freshman year. Gracie is very outspoken and not afraid to tell Jessica when she makes a wrong decision, but an extremely loyal friend.
Charlotte Curtis
20 years old at start of novel. Tall, petite, long blonde hair and blue eyes. Charlotte lives on the same hall as Jessica and Gracie and has also been friends with them since Freshman year. She is an English major and a sucker for a good romantic book. Unlike her friends, Charlotte is very quiet and timid, but has one of the sweetest hearts in the world.
Alivia Bennet
20 years old at start of the novel. Brown wavy hair and brown eyes. Alivia is roommates with Charlotte and great friends with Jessica and Gracie. She is very into art and is an art history major. One day she wants to own her own art museum. Alivia has a very chill personality and grows fond of Adam, Jessica's childhood friend.
Adam Brewer
21 years old at start of the novel. Blonde hair and blue eyes. Adam also attends UCLA and has known Jessica since they were in the 6th grade. Adam has always had a secret mini crush on Jessica, but she friend zoned him pretty quickly, and now he's just a good friend to her. He acts like a brotherly figure to Jessica and is always concerned for her safety, especially since she tends to catch feelings for the wrong guys.
Dakota Mills and Caleb Sterling
Both characters play a big role in Blake and Jessica's past... that's all I will say!!
